City Councilor Chae Myeong-gi Receives Plaque of Appreciation for Contributions to Yeongdeungpo Miro Children's Park Remodeling

[Suwon Ilbo = Reporter Jung Jun-sung] City Councilor Chae Myeong-gi of the Suwon Metropolitan City Council (Democratic Party, Woncheon·Yeongdeungpo 1-dong) received a plaque of appreciation from the residents' representative council of Hwanggol Daegong 1st Complex Apartment on the 19th for his active contributions to the remodeling of Yeongdeungpo Miro Children's Park.

Yeongdeungpo Miro Children's Park is located in the vicinity of 955-2, Yeongdeungpo 1-dong, Yeongdeungpo-gu, and has been a long-standing project for residents of Yeongdeungpo 1-dong due to inconveniences resulting from deteriorated and damaged facilities, with continued calls for facility improvements from residents.

In response, Councilor Chae participated in the park remodeling project by securing a budget of 1.3 billion won in special transfer tax and special adjustment grant funds centered around National Assembly member Park Gwang-on, and also participated in multiple resident forums to incorporate resident opinions into the project, carrying out various legislative activities.

Meanwhile, the residents' representative council of Hwanggol 1st Complex Apartment planned a voluntary resident participation event and held a celebration of the remodeling project completion at the newly renovated Miro Children's Park by sharing cotton candy, balloons, and fruits for children, presenting a plaque of appreciation to Councilor Chae.

Councilor Chae Myeong-gi said, "I am very proud and pleased as a local city councilor to have remodeled the children's park into what residents wanted," and added, "I will continue to expand communication with local residents and make active contributions to improving residents' welfare."
