Uiwang Mayor Kim Sung-je Begins New Year with Tribute at War Memorial Tower

[Suwon Ilbo=Reporter Jung Jun-sung] Uiwang Mayor Kim Sung-je began his new year schedule on January 1st by visiting the War Memorial Tower in Uiwang and offering flowers and incense to war heroes and independence fighters.

The tribute, held to honor the noble sacrificial spirit of those who dedicated their lives to the nation and to reaffirm the city's determination and resolve for Uiwang's development, was attended by City Council Chairman Kim Hak-gi, provincial and municipal assembly members, and members of veterans' organizations.

Mayor Kim Sung-je said, "We must remember the pioneers who dedicated themselves to the nation and learn from their noble sacrificial spirit," and added, "In the new year of 2023, I will devote myself to creating a premium city for citizens and making Uiwang a better place to live."
