Mayor Kim Sung-je of Uiwang City Proposes Major Development Projects to Governor Kim Dong-yeon

[Suwon Ilbo=Reporter Jung Joon-sung] Mayor Kim Sung-je of Uiwang City proposed active support from Gyeonggi Province Governor Kim Dong-yeon on major development projects and pending matters in Uiwang City on the 28th.

On that day, Mayor Kim attended an event titled 'On-site Response Urging Expedited Construction of the Full Dongin Line' held in Poil-dong, and then met with Governor Kim. He proposed △the development of an industrial complex in Poil-dong to attract an advanced knowledge industry complex △the creation of Uiwang Wanggok Complex Town for a medical and biotech cluster and premium education complex △meticulous support for the Uiwang Omaegi District urban development project for an eco-friendly residential complex △and the reflection of the Wirye-Gwacheon Line extension to Uiwang in Gyeonggi Province's basic railway plan, requesting active cooperation from Gyeonggi Province.

Mayor Kim particularly emphasized that support from Gyeonggi Province for the release and allocation of greenbelt restrictions is necessary for the prompt implementation of the planned urban development projects. Governor Kim responded positively, expressing his commitment to active support.

Mayor Kim Sung-je stated, "Close cooperation between Gyeonggi Province and Uiwang City is essential for the successful implementation of the currently planned urban development projects, industrial complexes, and large-scale projects such as double-track railways," and added, "Going forward, I will continue to request Gyeonggi Province's cooperation in various sectors for the development of Uiwang City."
