Suwon City Defense Council Donates Relief Funds to Suwon for Turkey Earthquake

[Suwon Ilbo=Reporter Jung Jun-sung] The Suwon City Defense Council (Chairman Ae Hae-rok) visited Suwon City Hall on the 23rd and donated 2 million won in relief funds to Suwon Mayor Lee Jae-jun to be used for supporting recovery from earthquake damage in Turkey.

The city deposited the donation into the Korean Red Cross account for Turkey earthquake relief.

Chairman Ae Hae-rok stated, "We hope that this donation will contribute, even if modestly, to helping the people of Turkey affected by the earthquake return to their daily lives."

Mayor Lee Jae-jun said, "The precious funds collected by members of the Suwon City Defense Council will be a source of strength for the Turkish people."

Meanwhile, the Suwon City Defense Council, established in July 2015, supports local defense reserve units and carries out various volunteer activities.
