[Suwon Ilbo=Reporter Jung Jun-sung] Suwon Urban Development Corporation (President Heo Jung-moon) announced on the 5th that it has replaced all 7 aging caravans at the Gwanggyo Lake Park Family Camping Ground with new caravans, and will commence normal reservations and operations from this month.

The new caravans, measuring 8.4m×2.7m, are approximately 1m longer than the existing caravans, allowing for more comfortable camping experiences.

Capacity has been expanded from a maximum of 4 people to a maximum of 6 people. With the increase in maximum capacity, the usage fee has risen from 100,000 won (based on off-season weekends and holidays) to 140,000 won, an increase of 40,000 won.

The interior configuration includes an added second-floor bed compared to the existing caravans, and is equipped with a refrigerator, highlights, heating and cooling systems, and TV.

Additionally, the new caravans are manufactured domestically, making post-purchase management easier.

The existing caravans, introduced in 2013, were American-made and had difficulties with maintenance management as after-sales service was unavailable or costly when repairs were needed.

The introduction of new caravans is expected to improve the camping ground's management performance and enhance user convenience.

President Heo Jung-moon said, "With the introduction of new caravans, people can now enjoy urban camping in a more comfortable and safe environment," adding "We hope for increased usage by citizens."

Meanwhile, the Gwanggyo Lake Park Family Camping Ground can be reserved by applying online from the 1st to the 15th of each month (through lottery), and usage hours are from 2:00 PM on the day of use until 11:00 AM the next day. Weekend use is limited to family camping only, while weekday use allows for group and social gathering camping as well.
