Uiwang City Wins Minister of Interior and Safety Award in 2023 Comprehensive Civic Service Evaluation

[Suwon Ilbo=Reporter Kim Chung-young] Uiwang City announced on the 15th that it received the Minister of Interior and Safety Award by achieving the highest grade 'A' in the '2023 Comprehensive Civic Administrative Service Evaluation.' The city also secured 6 million won in special transferred tax as a financial incentive provided to excellent institutions.

The 'Comprehensive Civic Service Evaluation,' jointly conducted by the Ministry of Interior and Safety and the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission, evaluates civic service conditions annually for a total of 306 institutions including central administrative agencies, local governments nationwide, and education offices, classifying them into five grades (A through E).

Uiwang City received the highest grade 'A' in the National Petition Portal processing division and citizen civic service satisfaction division. Additionally, the city achieved improvements across all evaluation indicators in five items across three categories compared to last year's evaluation, marking a remarkable accomplishment by advancing two grades from the 'D' grade in 2022.

Mayor Kim Sung-je of Uiwang City stated, "I appreciate the hard work of our staff who did their best to improve citizen satisfaction with a proactive attitude," and added, "Moving forward, we will make our best efforts to ensure that Uiwang City becomes a city where citizens are satisfied by providing more proactive civic services."
