[Suwon Ilbo=Reporter Kim Chung-young] The '2024 Uiwang City Job Fair' concluded successfully on the 9th at the Uiwang National Sports Center with around 1,000 job seekers in attendance.
Co-hosted by Uiwang City and the Anyang Employment and Labor Office under the Ministry of Employment and Labor, the job fair featured a total of 30 companies (20 participating on-site, 10 participating indirectly), providing over 100 job seekers with recruitment opportunities ranging from information security specialists to trade clerks.
On the day, around 500 job seekers participated in interviews at the job fair venue, while the 10 indirectly participating companies received resumes and plan to conduct interviews at a later date.
Additionally, organizations related to employment for youth, women, seniors, and people with disabilities provided job-related information tailored to each group, and collaboration with job-related agencies such as the Gyeonggi Job Foundation's new growth industry consulting and Gyeongwon Arts University's job center's customized employment consulting enriched the job fair.
Subsidiary events including labor counseling, interview makeup services, personal color diagnosis, and fingerprint aptitude testing were also held to provide job seekers with diverse employment-related information.
Mayor Kim Sung-je said, "I hope this becomes a meaningful opportunity for companies to secure needed workforce and for job seekers to find the jobs they desire," and added, "We will continue to discover quality jobs and provide diverse employment support services."
Meanwhile, the city plans to provide ongoing job placement and counseling services through the Uiwang Job Center to companies and citizens who did not have the opportunity to connect during this job fair.
