Suwon Urban Corporation Holds Photo Contest for Long-term Care Workers

[Suwon Ilbo = Reporter Jung Jun-sung] The Long-term Care Support Center, operated by Suwon Urban Corporation (President Huh Jung-moon), announced on the 9th that it is holding a photo contest with the theme 'The Touch of Care, Shining Moments' to raise awareness of the importance of long-term care and promote a culture of valued caregiving.

The contest, running through the 24th, is open to any employee of long-term care institutions in Suwon (43 institutions, approximately 12,000 employees). Participants can submit photos that convey the emotion and warmth of elderly care work via email (swjjc@naver.com).

The submitted photos will undergo internal and external review, and the final award-winning works will be selected through public voting at the Elderly Day commemorative event held on the 2nd of next month at the Suwon Culture Center's Bitnuri Art Hall.

A total of seven award-winning works will be selected: two recipients of the Suwon Mayor's Award and five recipients of the Suwon Urban Corporation President's Award.

President Huh Jung-moon stated, "The importance of long-term care is expanding with the aging population," adding, "The photo contest will make an important contribution to improving social awareness and spreading the value of long-term care services."
