Yongin Mayor Lee Sang-il, "Wishing You Happy Times During Chuseok Holiday"

[Suwon Ilbo=Reporter Choi Ki-ho] Yongin Special City Mayor Lee Sang-il visited the 'Fall In Love with 7080' concert held at Dongbaek Lake Park in Joong-dong, Giheung-gu on the 14th in the afternoon, watched the performance, and extended Chuseok greetings to citizens.

In his opening remarks, the mayor said, "The hot summer has passed and Chuseok is approaching with the bountiful harvest season," and expressed his wishes for citizens to "spend many happy moments with family, relatives, and neighbors during the Chuseok holiday."

The event was organized by the Korean Opera Company through a cultural and arts promotional support project of the Yongin Cultural Foundation.

Korean Opera Company Director Jung Na-ri served as the host, and musical actress Moon Chae-won, tenors Ha Se-hun and Park Byung-jun, and baritones Kim Jong-woo and Hwang Joong-chul delivered splendid performances with their sweet voices.

Classic songs including 'ALL THAT JAZZ,' the musical Chicago insert song; 'This Moment,' known from Jekyll and Hyde; the pop masterpiece 'My Way'; 'People Are More Beautiful Than Flowers'; 'Song of the Wind'; 'A Story of an Elderly Couple in Their 60s'; 'Fate'; and 'Around Thirty' graced the evening at Dongbaek Lake Park.

Citizens responded with loud applause and cheers while listening to the music.

The Korean Opera Company previously showcased the creative opera 'The Legend of Chunhyang' in March as a commemorative performance for hosting the '42nd Republic of Korea Theater Festival Yongin.'
