Gyeonggi Tour Pass August Sales More Than Double Monthly Average
[Suwon Ilbo=Reporter Kim Gap-dong] The Gyeonggi Tour Pass, an integrated tour voucher for Gyeonggi tourism, recorded 7,623 sales in August, more than doubling the monthly average for June and July.
Notably, sales increased after Governor Kim Dong-yeon personally used the Gyeonggi Tour Pass during his summer vacation and posted a review on social media, drawing attention.
The 'Gyeonggi Tourism Integrated Voucher (Gyeonggi Tour Pass)' is a product that began sales last year to provide residents with diverse tourism opportunities and open doors of opportunity for the tourism industry to attract more visitors. This year, it offers discounted access to approximately 150 tourist destinations and cafes across the province, including Gwangmyeong Cavern, Petite France, Anseong Farm Land, and Herb Island, at prices of △24-hour pass: 19,900 won △48-hour pass: 25,900 won △72-hour pass: 35,900 won.
On July 28, Governor Kim posted on his social media: "I'm starting my summer vacation with the Gyeonggi Tour Pass. With unlimited access to tourist attractions throughout Gyeonggi Province for around 10,000 won a day, it offers the best value for money. How about spending this summer vacation in Gyeonggi Province with the Gyeonggi Tour Pass?"
In fact, Governor Kim visited Hwangsun Won Literary Village Sonagi Village in Yangpyeong, Seohu-ri Forest in Yangpyeong, The Grim Botanical Garden in Yangpyeong, Noljja Forest in Dongducheon, and Bruda Yangju in Yangju using the Gyeonggi Tour Pass.
Accordingly, sales increased from 3,141 units in June and 3,428 units in July to 7,623 units in August. Since launching sales in June this year, 17,485 units have been sold as of the 27th. Last year, the province recorded total sales of 24,151 units from August to December (4,636 units in August).
Meanwhile, Gyeonggi Province and the Gyeonggi Tourism Organization are targeting sales of 30,000 Gyeonggi Tour Passes this year and have expanded affiliated merchants from approximately 80 at launch to approximately 150 currently to enhance customer satisfaction.
Tourists wishing to purchase the Gyeonggi Tour Pass can buy it from various retailers including 11st, Naver Smart Store, MyRealTrip, Yanolja, Yeogi Eottae, Auction, G-Market, and Coupang.
