Lee Jae-jun Inaugurated as Fourth CEO of Gyeonggi Province Public Corporation

[Suwon Ilbo=Reporter Kim Gab-dong] Lee Jae-jun, former Mayor of Goyang, has been inaugurated as the fourth CEO of Gyeonggi Province Public Corporation.

The new CEO held his inauguration ceremony on the 17th at Gyeonggi Startup Campus in Seongnam and announced his new beginning.

New CEO Lee Jae-jun was born in 1960 and served as a member of the 8th and 9th Gyeonggi Province Council before serving as the 10th Mayor of Goyang. He is known for his passionate legislative activities, having enacted approximately 100 ordinances over his eight-year tenure as a provincial councillor.

In his inaugural address, New CEO Lee Jae-jun stated, "Taking on this important role as CEO, I aim to surpass the achievements of the past seven years, establish the organization's identity, and achieve a new leap forward," and added, "I will lead the company in four directions: continuous development of new businesses for infinite innovation and carbon-neutral goals, platform advancement and profitability improvement, and building an organizational culture renewed through trust and creativity."

Meanwhile, Gyeonggi Province Public Corporation, established in 2016, was founded through joint investment by Gyeonggi Province and various regional economic organizations including the Gyeonggi Province Small and Medium Business Cooperative. The company operates various support projects for small and medium enterprises in the province. Since 2020, it has been operating Gyeonggi Province's public delivery app Delivery Express to revitalize the local economy.
