Pyeongtaek City Conducts Joint Inspection of Children's School Shuttle Vehicles to Prevent Safety Accidents

[Suwon Ilbo=Reporter Lee Su-won] On the 16th, Pyeongtaek City conducted a joint inspection with related agencies at the Sosabel Sports Town parking lot, targeting children's school shuttle vehicles operated by educational, welfare, and sports facilities.

The inspection was carried out jointly by the city, Korea Transportation Safety Authority Gyeonggi Southern Regional Headquarters, Pyeongtaek Police Station, and Pyeongtaek Office of Education. The inspection covered 16 items including matters related to reporting and completion of educational courses for children's shuttle vehicles, as well as the suitability of vehicle structure and equipment.

The city issued guidance and corrective orders for non-compliant vehicles and deficiencies identified on site, and provided vehicle drivers with explanations on proper facility standards and safety awareness.

A city official stated, "Going forward, we will continue to make efforts in preventive measures through ongoing guidance and inspections to ensure that safety accidents do not occur, and actively promote the establishment of a safe traffic culture."
