Anyang City and LH Sign Agreement to Launch Anyang 3-dong Residential Regeneration Innovation District Project
[Suwon Ilbo=Reporter Um In-yong] Anyang City held an agreement ceremony on the 25th with the Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH) Gyeonggi Southern Regional Headquarters for the project implementation and consignment agreement of the Residential Regeneration Innovation District (National Pilot District) in the Yangji Village area of Anyang 3-dong.
The ceremony was attended by six officials including Mayor Choi Dae-ho of Anyang City and Gang O-soon, head of LH's Gyeonggi Southern Regional Headquarters.
The agreement contains provisions establishing various matters necessary for joint project implementation between Anyang City and LH regarding the development of apartment complexes and public support facilities within the Anyang 3-dong Residential Regeneration Innovation District.
The Anyang 3-dong Residential Regeneration Innovation District project is an initiative to improve residential environments by publicly supplying public housing and public support facilities in the aging residential area around 959 Anyang 3-dong, Man-an-gu, where private development is difficult and deterioration continues.
The Anyang 3-dong Residential Regeneration Innovation District was designated as the nation's first National Pilot District by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport in March 2022, and received approval for changes to the National Pilot District plan in December last year after improving project feasibility through application of legal floor area ratio limits and securing additional apartment units.
Subsequently, this year the city completed consultation on exemption from central and local financial investment reviews, established architectural plans for public support facilities, and conducted basic surveys on obstructing structures. With this project implementation agreement, the city will actively pursue design competitions and project plans.
Mayor Choi Dae-ho of Anyang City said, "As this is the nation's first national pilot project, I will work closely with LH to actively realize a successful residential regeneration innovation district model."
