Bus Route 770 Between Anseong Terminal and Pyeongtaek Jije Station Begins Operation January 1

[Suwon Ilbo=Reporter Park Chan-hyuk] Anseong City held an opening ceremony for Bus Route 770 on the 26th at Baekseong Transportation depot, attended by Mayor Kim Bo-ra, the Anseong City Council speaker, city council members, the head of the transportation policy division, and representatives from transportation companies.

Bus Route 770 is a route-bidding public management system city bus that departs from Anseong Comprehensive Bus Terminal, passes through Yangseong and Wongok, and operates to Pyeongtaek Jije Station. The route was selected as a new public management route on July 3rd, the operator was selected on October 4th, and operations are set to begin January 1st next year.

Bus Route 770 will have departures every 20 to 25 minutes. The existing city bus (Route 1150) took an average of 90 minutes from Anseong to Pyeongtaek Jije Station, while the new route is expected to take approximately 60 minutes, significantly reducing travel time. In particular, Pyeongtaek Jije Station is a stop for SRT trains, and convenience for commuters using public transportation is expected to improve significantly.

Mayor Kim Bo-ra of Anseong said, "It is anticipated that the operation of Bus Route 770 will increase convenience for citizens using public transportation," and added, "Going forward, we will pursue public transportation policies that allow citizens to conveniently use mass transit."
