Uiwang City Holds 'First Half 2025 Youth Policy Committee' Meeting

[Suwon Ilbo=Park Chan-hyuk] Uiwang City held the '2025 First Half Youth Policy Committee' meeting at the City Hall conference room on the 4th.

Attended by approximately 10 youth policy committee members including City Council Member Park Hyun-ho, the meeting reviewed major contents of Uiwang City's newly established 5-year basic youth policy plan and this year's implementation plan, and discussed future promotion directions and supplementary measures.

During this occasion, the city announced implementation plans for 48 projects across 5 sectors—△job creation, △housing, △education and culture, △welfare, and △participation and rights—over the next 5 years through basic plan reports.

In particular, the city introduced 17 new project implementation plans including youth portal and AI information system establishment, fourth industrial revolution talent cultivation, youth growth projects, career campus, and support programs for socially withdrawn youth, which drew significant attention from committee members.

Additionally, the committee examined major youth policy implementation plans for this year and held active discussions on operational plans for newly added implementation projects this year, including expanded employment activity support fund disbursement, credit-recognized internship programs at local universities, customized 1:1 youth growth projects, and lifelong education voucher support.

A city official stated, "Together with the Youth Policy Committee, we will not only monitor existing policies but also discover and improve policies that young people truly need to provide more practical assistance."
