[Suwon Ilbo=Eom In-yong Reporter] Guri City announced on the 14th that it held a 'Youth Policy Coordination Committee' on the 11th and confirmed the '2025 Youth Policy Implementation Plan.'
The city plans to invest 11.9 billion won across 54 projects in three areas—△participation and rights △employment (job creation and startup support) △welfare and culture—under the vision of 'Guri City, a youth happiness city supporting young people's futures.'
In the participation and rights sector, the city will promote 7 projects including a youth policy platform, youth policy proposal contest, and youth talent registration platform to encourage youth social participation and reflect young people's voices in municipal administration.
In the employment sector, the city will allocate and implement 1.6 billion won across 16 projects including the Youth Tomorrow Center, startup support such as Gong-deurin Kitchen, special guarantees and interest support for young small business owners, and youth growth projects.
In the welfare and culture sector, the city will allocate 10.2 billion won across 31 projects including interest support for jeonse and monthly rental loans for young married couples without homes, construction of Guri Happiness Housing, Guri Happiness Outdoor Wedding Hall, and childbirth support funds to help young people achieve self-reliance and create an atmosphere for stable settlement in the region.
Mayor Baek Kyung-hyun stated, "Through effective youth policies, I will provide diverse opportunities for young people and do my best to create an environment where young people can grow with hope."
