Anyang City Holds Presentation Ceremony for HL Anyang Ice Hockey Team's "Goals for Love" Funds

[Suwon Ilbo=Reporter Eom In-yong] Anyang City held a presentation ceremony for HL Anyang Ice Hockey Team's (Director Shin Su-jin) 'Goals for Love' accumulated funds on the 21st at the reception room.

The presentation ceremony was conducted through the delivery of 'Goals for Love' accumulated funds under the 'Agreement for Social Contribution Cooperation' concluded in 2015 between Anyang City, HL Holdings Co., Ltd., and the Gyeonggi Community Chest of Korea.

In accordance with the agreement each year, HL Holdings Co., Ltd. accumulates and donates 200,000 won to 'Goals for Love' accumulated funds each time HL Anyang Ice Hockey Team scores one goal in the regular season, 5 million won for finishing first in the regular season, and 10 million won for winning the Asian League Championship.

This accumulated fund totals 50 million won. HL Anyang Ice Hockey Team scored 115 goals in the regular season last year and won the Asian League Championship, accumulating 33 million won in Goals for Love funds, and HL Holdings Co., Ltd. added a special donation of 17 million won to commemorate the 10th anniversary of social contribution activities.

The 'Anyang Health Guardian Support Project' that started in 2008 is an initiative in which Anyang City supports health insurance premiums with its own budget to reduce the burden on vulnerable groups who face difficulties in paying health insurance premiums. This year, the project continues with Anyang City's Helping Neighbors donations.

Meanwhile, the accumulated 'Goals for Love' funds since 2015 total approximately 320 million won.

Mayor Choi Dae-ho of Anyang City said, "This is a very meaningful donation made through the efforts of HL Anyang Ice Hockey Team players, and I am grateful for implementing sharing over the past 10 years," and added, "Going forward, I will make greater efforts to improve community welfare services."
