Suwon Municipal Government Supports Unemployed Youth with Language and Certification Exam Fees Up to 300,000 Won

[Suwon Ilbo=Reporter Jung Jun-sung] Suwon Special City announced on the 28th that it will conduct the 'Youth Capacity-Building Opportunity Support Project' from May 2 to November 30 to help unemployed youth acquire qualifications.

The 'Youth Capacity-Building Opportunity Support Project' is an initiative that supports exam fees for language and certification tests up to a maximum of 300,000 won per person for unemployed youth.

The target recipients are job-seeking youth aged 19 to 39 years old (born between January 1, 1985 and December 31, 2006) who reside in Suwon as of the application date.

Applicants can receive support for exam fees in 19 types of language tests, Korean History, 540 types of national technical qualifications, 347 types of national professional qualifications, and 97 types of nationally recognized private qualifications. There are no limits on the number of exam attempts or application submissions.

Applications can be made through the Gyeonggi Province Employment Foundation's integrated application system 'JobAba Apply' (apply.jobaba.net). The program may close early if the budget is exhausted, and if the first-half budget is depleted, second-half applications are scheduled to resume from August 1.

A city official stated, "Since this is a popular project that provides practical benefits to young job seekers, we encourage applicants to carefully review the eligibility requirements before applying" and "We hope this becomes a foundation for practical job preparation."
