Suwon Introduces First Fee-Free Unmanned Civil Service Kiosks in Gyeonggi Province Starting from the 16th

[Suwon Ilbo=Reporter Jung Jun-sung] Suwon Metropolitan City announced on the 13th that it will waive fees for all civil service documents issued through unmanned civil service kiosks within the city starting from the 16th, making it the first local government in Gyeonggi Province to do so. However, the 'Real Estate Registration Certificate' issued through the Supreme Court network is excluded from the fee waiver.

The city decided to waive fees for unmanned civil service kiosks to enhance convenience for citizens' civil service inquiries and strengthen accessibility to administrative services.

The city has installed and operates 86 unmanned civil service kiosks at city hall, district offices, dong administrative welfare centers, major subway stations, and public institutions. Through the unmanned civil service kiosks, citizens can obtain approximately 120 types of civil service documents, including resident registration certificates and family relation certificates, building registers, and local tax issuance certificates by tax category.

A city official stated, "We have converted the fees for unmanned civil service kiosks to free of charge so that all citizens can conveniently and affordably access civil service documents," and added, "Going forward, we will actively expand citizen-centered digital administration and smart civil service services."
