Osan City Achieves 'Highest Excellence (SA)' Rating for Two Consecutive Years in Mayor's Campaign Promise Implementation and Information Disclosure Evaluation

[Suwon Ilbo=Reporter Park Chan-hyuk] Osan City announced on the 19th that it has achieved the highest excellence rating (SA) in the "2025 National Basic Local Government Leaders' Campaign Promise Implementation and Information Disclosure Evaluation" organized by the Korea Manifesto Practitioners Association, receiving the nation's highest-level evaluation for two consecutive years following last year.

This evaluation was conducted by comprehensively analyzing the status of campaign promise implementation and information disclosure levels disclosed by each basic local government through their websites as of late December last year.

The evaluation criteria consisted of five categories: △campaign promise completion rate △annual target achievement rate △citizen communication △web communication △campaign promise consistency. Osan City was recognized for faithfully promoting campaign promises and transparently disclosing information, recording a total score of 87 points or higher and receiving the highest rating of SA.

Since the launch of the 8th term of elected officials, the city has established and promoted a total of 76 campaign promises across four major sectors: △innovative economic city △complex cultural city △welfare and health city △administrative exemplary city. Among these, 47 projects have been completed, achieving an implementation rate of 61.8%.

In the innovative economic city sector, campaign promises related to transportation infrastructure such as GTX-C line extension to Osan (metropolitan express railway), new metropolitan bus routes (Osan Station↔Seoul Station), early completion of underground construction on Dongbu-daero, and early commencement of the Gyeongbu Line railway crossing road have been finalized. In the complex cultural city sector, campaign promises including the creation of the Dulle-gil trail (Gapgolsan-Doksan Fortress) and revitalization of Osan's old downtown commercial area have been completed.

In the welfare and health city sector, life-related campaign promises including expanded childbirth incentive payments, support for childcare center admission necessary expenses, installation of children's shelters for drop-off and pick-up, and promotion of Dalbit Children's Hospital and late-night pharmacies have been finalized.

In the administrative exemplary city sector, the promotion of branch offices in Daewon-dong and Sinjang-dong, mitigation of urban traffic congestion by introducing an Intelligent Transportation System (ITS), and establishment of a digital administrative service foundation have been stably implemented.

The remaining 29 projects are also being pursued sequentially with concentrated administrative efforts.

This achievement is the result of citizen-centered city governance that has gained external trust, and is expected to serve as a strong driving force for the implementation of remaining campaign promises.

Mayor Lee Gwon-jae stated, "This is the result of all public officials working with unified purpose to keep our promises to citizens," and added, "This evaluation is evidence of how responsibly Osan City is operating its city affairs."
