Suwon Receives Top Grade in 2025 Gyeonggi Province Non-Tax Revenue Comprehensive Evaluation

[Suwon Ilbo=Reporter Jung Jun-seong] Suwon Special City announced on the 28th that it received the top grade in the "2025 Non-Tax Revenue Comprehensive Evaluation" hosted by Gyeonggi Province.

The province conducted a comprehensive evaluation of 31 cities and counties in the region across 5 fields and 9 indicators, including △non-tax revenue collection performance △debt settlement △level of interest from institutional leaders △discovery of new revenue sources and institutional improvements △dedicated organizational operations. Suwon City received excellent evaluations in overall non-tax revenue management capabilities.

The city collected a total of 289.7 billion won in non-tax revenue from general and other special accounts in 2024. This represents an increase of 51.2 billion won (21%) compared to the previous year. The city also received recognition for establishing a stable revenue base by facilitating close collaboration among departments and discovering policies from multiple angles.

A city official stated, "Non-tax revenue is an area managed by various departments together, so systematic operation is not easy, but all departments worked together to achieve meaningful results," and added, "We will continue to make our best efforts in promoting non-tax revenue work to contribute to securing Suwon City's fiscal soundness."
