A new Grade 5 position (Secretary Affairs Deputy Director) will be established in the City Council Administrative Bureau. Following this organizational restructuring, Suwon City's personnel allocation remains the same at 3,805 employees. A rational organizational restructuring has been pursued by streamlining personnel utilization.
To boost morale among junior staff, measures to upgrade the ranks of Grade 8-9 civil servants and expand promotion opportunities are being consistently developed.
Mayor Lee Jae-jun said, "This organizational restructuring is for creating Suwon City's future and, furthermore, Korea's future," and added, "We will equip Suwon with administrative institutions befitting the city, create a Suwon where citizens are at the center, and do our utmost to achieve policy results."
