[Suwon Ilbo=Yu Je-sung Reporter] Anyang City signed a business agreement on "Medical Expense Support for Faithful Taxpayers" with Seoul Suan Ophthalmology, a local clinic, on the 30th of last month in the Director of Planning and Economy's office.
As a result, the number of medical institutions where the city's faithful taxpayers can receive medical expense benefits has expanded from three to four.
The city's faithful taxpayers can now receive medical expense benefits at Seoul Suan Ophthalmology Clinic in Hogye-dong, Dongan-gu for vision correction surgery, cataract surgery, and other treatments.
The city selects faithful taxpayers as those who have no tax delinquency for 10 years as of January 1 each year and have paid local taxes (500 million won or more for individuals, 1 billion won or more for corporations) of five or more cases annually within the deadline over the past five years.
Currently, faithful taxpayers can receive discounts on comprehensive health checkups (20%) and non-covered hospitalization treatment copayments (10%) at Hallym University Sacred Heart Hospital and Anyang Saem Hospital, and can receive preferential treatment for implants and crown procedures at Seoul Wise Dental Clinic.
Additionally, benefits are provided including preferential interest rates through NH Nonghyup branches within the city as the city's designated bank (excluding regional agricultural and livestock cooperatives), exemption from ATM usage fees, and up to 50% discount on admission fees for planned performances organized by the Anyang Culture and Arts Foundation.
Shin In-su, Director of Planning and Economy, stated, "I am deeply grateful to the newly partnered medical institution for voluntarily contributing to Anyang city administration development," and added, "Going forward, we will make further efforts to create a social atmosphere where faithful taxpayers are respected and to foster a sound tax payment culture."
