Hanam Mayor Lee Hyun-jae Expresses Gratitude for Those Working to Ensure Safe Chuseok Holiday

[Suwon Ilbo=Reporter Eom In-yong] On the 5th, the day before Chuseok, Hanam Mayor Lee Hyun-jae spent a busy day from early morning to encourage and express gratitude to those working behind the scenes so that citizens could enjoy a safe and happy holiday.

The mayor visited the sorting yard at 5:40 a.m. when darkness still prevailed, encouraging environmental service workers who were preparing for their shift. Then at 7 a.m., he visited Hanam Public Parking Garage, Changwoo-dong BRT Transfer Center, and the CCTV control room that guards the city's safety, encouraging everyone to do their best so that citizens can spend the holiday with peace of mind.

At 9 a.m., he visited Yeongrak Senior Care Home, filled with laughter, asking residents one by one, "Are you enjoying the holiday?"

He also visited the Water Works Division and forest fire watchers' waiting room, which sustain citizens' daily lives and safety, saying, "Your quiet dedication is the strength that protects citizens' daily lives."

In the afternoon, he visited hospitals and pharmacies that remained open during the holiday, including Haesal Hospital and Saesol Children's Hospital, encouraging medical staff and pharmacists by saying, "I am reassured knowing you are there for citizens to rely on when they are ill."

He then visited Misa Riverside City's Haesol and Haengbok-moa municipal daycare centers, Misa Station, Hanam Pungsan Station, Hanam City Hall Station, and Hanam Cheonsan Station, where he had time to communicate with station staff and passengers welcoming the holiday.

Mayor Lee Hyun-jae said, "Because there are people who stand firm in their positions and dedicate themselves in places unseen by the public, everyone can enjoy a warm and abundant holiday. I will do my best for Hanam City to ensure citizens' safety and happiness so that your efforts are not in vain."
