Hite Jinro Co., Ltd. Icheon Plant Donates 13.5 Million Won in Scholarships to Icheon Citizens Scholarship Foundation

Icheon Plant (Plant Manager Lee Jae-bok) presented 13.5 million won in scholarships for the second half of this year to the Icheon Citizens Scholarship Foundation (Chairman Im Ki-bae) on the 3rd at the Daol Hall on the 5th floor of Icheon City Hall, following the first half donation earlier this year.

The ceremony was attended by Icheon Mayor Kim Kyung-hee, Hite Jinro Co., Ltd. Icheon Plant Manager Lee Jae-bok, Production Safety Support Team Leader Kim Ji-hyun, Icheon Citizens Scholarship Foundation Chairman Im Ki-bae, Directors Lee Jin-gyu and Ha Jae-won, and Auditor Lee Jung-hee.

The donated scholarships will be used to support underprivileged students from the Icheon region who continue their studies despite economic hardship.

Hite Jinro Co., Ltd. Icheon Plant has been making scholarship donations since 1998, marking the 27th consecutive year, with cumulative donations exceeding 1 billion won. The scholarships provided have played a significant role in regional community development by offering opportunities for struggling students to continue their education.

Mayor Kim Kyung-hee stated, "I express my deep gratitude to Hite Jinro Co., Ltd. Icheon Plant for consistently donating scholarships for 27 years and contributing to regional community development." She added, "This scholarship donation will greatly benefit local students, and Icheon City will continue to make consistent efforts to foster regional talent."
