Uiwang City Delivers Kimchi to 250 Vulnerable Households Through 'Whole Village Project'

[Suwon Ilbo=Reporter Yoo Je-sung] Uiwang City delivered 250 boxes of kimchi to vulnerable households in the city on the 10th through the 'Whole Village Project,' a self-reliant youth support initiative being promoted together with Hopeful Friends Hunger Relief and Gyeonggi Central Church (Call & Two).

This support was implemented to help stabilize food security for vulnerable populations during winter, providing approximately 10kg of homemade kimchi to 250 households and institutions including low-income families with children and adolescents, families in crisis, and social welfare facilities.

The meaningful donation of kimchi was sponsored by Gyeonggi Central Church and Korea International Hunger Relief Organization, and the two organizations have been maintaining consistent sharing efforts annually.

Mayor Kim Sung-je said, "I thank Hopeful Friends Hunger Relief and Gyeonggi Central Church, cooperating organizations of the Whole Village Project, for their warm sharing," adding, "Going forward, we will continue to closely cooperate with the local community and consistently implement welfare projects that vulnerable neighbors can feel."
