Hanam City Promise Implementation Evaluation Committee Gives Positive Assessment of 81.9% Promise Fulfillment Rate in 8th Election

[Suwon Ilbo=Reporter Eom In-yong] The Hanam City Promise Implementation Evaluation Committee has reviewed and positively assessed the promise implementation results of the 8th election Hanam City government, which recorded a 81.9% promise fulfillment rate.

The Promise Implementation Evaluation Committee, composed of Hanam City residents, held a meeting on the 15th at the situation room in the main government building to share progress on promise projects over the past three years.

The meeting was held to transparently verify the implementation status of major ongoing promise projects.

According to the evaluation committee's inspection results, as of the end of December 2025, the 8th election Hanam City government confirmed the completion of 100 projects out of a total of 122 promise projects.

Major completed projects include △smooth promotion of the Subway Line 3 extension project △connection of the Meeting Plaza Transfer Center with Line 3 and the original downtown area △creation of Hanam-style school zones △opening of hiking trails at Cheonma Mountain and Geumam Mountain △creation of eco-friendly Geomdan Mountain walking trail, and others.

During the meeting, the city shared progress and reviewed future tasks on major ongoing projects of high citizen interest, including △new swimming pool in the Wiryeong area △Dongnam-ro connector road promotion △K-Culture Complex (K-Star World) and Camp Colborne development △advance infrastructure construction in Gyosan New City △Wiryesin Line Hanam extension △establishment of Hanam Office of Education, and others.

Meanwhile, the city received the excellence (A) grade in the "2025 8th Election National Basic Local Governments' Promise Implementation and Information Disclosure Evaluation" hosted by the Korea Manifesto Practice Foundation, earning recognition for the credibility of promise fulfillment.

Mayor Lee Hyeon-jae stated, "It was a meaningful opportunity to share the achievements of the past three years with citizens and to discuss together the tasks that need to be completed in the future," adding "I will pursue the remaining promise projects with substance and high completion standards, taking responsibility for fulfilling promises made to citizens until the very end."
