Yangpyeong County Appoints Cleanliness Task Force Squad...'I Take Responsibility for Cleanliness'

[Suwon Ilbo=Reporter Eom In-yong] Yangpyeong County presented appointment certificates to 32 cleanliness task force squad members from 12 townships and districts at the county government conference room on the 26th.

The appointment ceremony was attended by County Commissioner Jeon Jin-seon, the Attractive Yangpyeong project manager, the Director of Environmental Education, the head of the Sanitation Division, and other county officials, as well as 32 cleanliness task force squad members from each township and district and 12 environmental administrators from each township and district.

The event proceeded in the following order: explanation of the appointment background, presentation of appointment certificates, oath of office by the cleanliness task force representative, remarks, and commemorative group photo.

The Cleanliness Task Force Squad represents a renewal of previously limited job titles such as 'street cleaning division' and 'street cleaning worker,' and carries the meaning that they immediately respond whenever and wherever cleanliness is needed.

The Cleanliness Task Force Squad will be responsible for △promoting and guiding proper waste sorting △conducting periodic cleanliness activities against illegal dumping and improperly sorted waste △checking and collecting garbage not in pay-per-use bags and improperly sorted waste to strengthen Yangpyeong's cleanliness and attractiveness.

Between 2 and 7 members will be assigned to each township and district depending on population size, and large-scale cleanliness activities will also be conducted on an eastern or western regional basis as needed.

In particular, at the cleanliness task force representative's oath of office held alongside the certificate presentation, they pledged to demonstrate the following sense of ownership and dedication: △we will protect and take responsibility for Yangpyeong, an environmental capital △we will rush wherever we are needed △we will take the lead in cleanliness activities by example △we will demonstrate enthusiasm with the awareness that we are creating a clean Yangpyeong.

The oath, which expressed the cleanliness task force's determination to create a clean and attractive Yangpyeong, was delivered to County Commissioner Jeon Jin-seon, and participants recognized the importance of the cleanliness task force's role in ensuring cleanliness on the frontlines and reaffirmed their commitment to practical environmental action in daily life.

County Commissioner Jeon Jin-seon said, "Each person receiving an appointment certificate today is beyond simple cleanliness activities—you are the protagonists building Yangpyeong's image," adding, "You are creating Yangpyeong as an environmental capital. Let us work together with pride and a sense of mission to create a clean and attractive Yangpyeong."
