Suwon Special City Launches 'DODO Project' Instructor Training Program
[Suwon Ilbo=Reporter Jeong Jun-seong] Suwon Special City held the opening ceremony for the '2026 DODO Project' instructor training program on the 28th at the main auditorium of the Suwon Lifelong Learning Center. The ceremony was attended by approximately 200 successful applicants for the Cheongaeguri Classroom parent instructor training program.
The city introduced the integrated education brand Cheongaeguri SPPEC and the overall DODO Project initiative, and outlined the operational directions and educational schedules for six instructor training programs: △ecological environment △artificial intelligence (AI) robotics △cultural arts △coding drone △global citizenship △and artificial intelligence (AI) convergence.
The DODO Project instructor training program provides educational content linked to elementary school curricula to parents and citizens, cultivating instructors to work in the local education field. Instructors who complete the program will teach at Suwon elementary schools through the Cheongaeguri Classroom program.
Participants will receive intensive training combining theoretical lectures and practical instruction by field from January to February, and will formally begin instructor activities starting in March and April.
A city official stated, "The DODO Project is a model case of educational governance cooperation for local government, where citizens participate as education providers rather than merely beneficiaries," and added, "Suwon City will actively support the instructors to shine even brighter in the field."
Suwon City's integrated education brand, Cheongaeguri SPPEC (SPPEC), consists of △Cheongaeguri Story, where youth and parents discuss and propose together △Cheongaeguri Pond, where youth and parents learn and rest together △Cheongaeguri Reporter Corps, which supports news activities to promote Suwon △Cheongaeguri Career Experience, where students can experience diverse career paths and professions △and Cheongaeguri Classroom, a community education program that links school education both inside and outside schools.
