Guri City and Guri Agricultural & Fisheries Corporation Promote Lunar New Year Onmuri Gift Card Refund Event

[Suwon Ilbo=Reporter Eom In-yong] Guri City and Guri Agricultural & Fisheries Corporation have joined hands to push forward a major Lunar New Year Onmuri gift card refund event.

Guri Agricultural & Fisheries Corporation (President Kim Jin-soo, hereinafter "the Corporation") announced on the 3rd that Guri Agricultural & Fisheries Wholesale Market (hereinafter "the Wholesale Market") has been confirmed as a participating market in the "2026 Lunar New Year Onmuri Gift Card Refund Event" hosted by the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries.

The refund event will run daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. for 5 days from February 10 (Tuesday) to February 14 (Saturday). Customers who purchase domestic fishery products at participating shops in the Wholesale Market during the event period will receive refunds in the form of Onmuri gift cards of up to 30% of their purchase amount.

The refund limit is a maximum of 20,000 won per person.

Eligible refund items include all domestic fishery products, including processed foods such as salted seafood containing 70% or more of domestic raw materials. Excluded items include △imported fishery products and non-fishery products △items purchased with Zero Pay fishery products mobile gift cards △items purchased with corporate or business credit cards △government-reserved fishery product release items, etc.

The Corporation will change the refund venue to Susan-dong 2nd Floor (D Building) Room 220 of the Wholesale Market (near Megadome Pharmacy) starting with this event, taking into account weather conditions and improving safety and customer flow.

With this change, the Corporation expects to reduce congestion caused by increased customer traffic, secure safety considering cold weather, improve customer accessibility, and ensure smooth event operations.

Meanwhile, Guri Mayor Baek Gyeong-hyun and his delegation plan to visit the Onmuri gift card refund event site on February 12 to communicate with citizens and participate in the event.

Since this Lunar New Year event will take place in cold weather, we have changed the refund venue to the 2nd floor of Susan-dong in consideration of the event environment," adding "We hope there will be no confusion regarding the venue change, and we encourage you to purchase domestic fishery products and celebrate a meaningful Lunar New Year holiday."
