Guri City Council Holds Meeting with Apartment Representatives Federation
[Suwon Ilbo=Reporter Eom In-yong] The Guri City Council (Chairman Shin Dong-hwa) held a meeting with the Guri City Apartment Representatives Federation (Federation Chairman Ko Ki-hwan) on the 4th at the City Council Multi-room.
The meeting was attended by approximately 20 participants including Council Chairman Shin Dong-hwa, Vice Chairman Kim Sung-tae, Operating Committee Chairman Jung Eun-chul, Council Members Kwon Bong-su and Yang Gyeong-ae, and Guri City apartment representatives.
The meeting was held to listen to suggestions on issues closely related to residents' daily lives and seek solutions together to protect the rights of apartment residents in Guri City and promote the development of multi-family housing management.
Specific agenda items included requests for increased subsidy support for multi-family housing projects, measures regarding soundproof walls on Inchang 1st Road to resolve living environment degradation for low-floor apartment residents, and improvements to parking convenience through revision of ordinances and operational standards related to disabled parking spaces and electric vehicle charging areas.
In-depth discussions were also held on various suggestions related to Guri City's residential conditions, including proposals to install design fences on road curbs and buffer zones near the Donggureung Historical Street Development Project site, installation of smart shelters at Bus Stop 4 of Donggureung Station, and development of effective measures to enforce passive responses from construction companies regarding construction defect repairs in newly built apartments.
Federation Chairman Ko Ki-hwan said, "Since Guri City has many old apartments, there is high demand for repairs and environmental improvements, so the Guri Apartment Representatives Federation continuously requests support and cooperation for these matters," and "I hope that the content from today's meeting will be well reflected so that the residential environment of apartment residents can be improved, and I request continued attention and cooperation."
Council Chairman Shin Dong-hwa stated, "More than 70% of Guri City residents live in apartments, so the quality of life of apartment residents is directly connected to the welfare improvement of all Guri citizens," and added, "Through this meeting, the Guri City Council will continue to exchange opinions and devote our best efforts to council activities so that the suggestions made can be actively reflected in future policies and systems."
