Suwon Urban Development Corporation Produces and Distributes Nation's First Long-term Care Guidebook and Operations Manual
[Suwon Ilbo=Reporter Lee Min-jung] Suwon Urban Development Corporation (CEO Lee Young-in) is taking the lead in advancing long-term care services by self-producing and freely distributing promotional materials designed to enhance work convenience for long-term care workers and help service users understand the system—a first nationwide initiative.
According to the corporation on the 5th, the Suwon Long-term Care Support Center, operated by the corporation, will unveil a long-term care guidebook and operations manual at the '2026 Long-term Care Facilities Home Care Service Regular Evaluation Briefing' to be held at the center on the 13th.
The 'Respectful Care Guidebook' contains multiple case examples for service users and their families outlining the proper scope of work and etiquette for care workers. It is expected to serve as a 'compass' to prevent unfair work requests and mutual conflicts that frequently occur in long-term care settings.
The 'Operations Manual' for enhancing practical skills of long-term care workers contains various long-term care service provision guidelines, including personal information guidelines and rights promotion guidelines. In particular, considering that most workers are of advanced age, it has also been produced as an audiobook to increase accessibility to ongoing education.
Additionally, a 'Rights Promotion Poster' promoting mutual respect between workers and service users will be introduced.
The center will first distribute the guidebook, operations manual, and posters to long-term care facilities in the Suwon area. Subsequently, it plans to freely distribute related materials through the center's website for public use.
CEO Lee Young-in stated, "We will create a healthy long-term care environment that instills pride in long-term care workers and trust in service users, and will pursue various projects to provide advanced long-term care services."
