[Suwon Ilbo=Reporter Jung Jun-seong] Suwon Special City has established the 'Suwon Cultural Content Industry Promotion Committee' to systematically foster the cultural content industry.
The city held an appointment ceremony for the Suwon Cultural Content Industry Promotion Committee on the 27th at the city hall situation room, presenting appointment letters to 12 appointed members. Their tenure is two years.
The Cultural Content Industry Promotion Committee, with First Vice Mayor Kim Hyun-soo as chairperson, comprises a total of 15 members, including 12 appointed members such as Suwon City Council members and cultural content experts, and 3 ex-officio members.
The committee serves to deliberate and provide consultation on matters related to the establishment and implementation of basic plans for the cultural content industry, policy development consultation, and support for related projects.
The meeting held on that day was conducted with a report on the 2026 work plan for the Cultural Content Team and free discussion.
The city is building the foundation for the cultural content industry, including establishing a new Cultural Content Team last year. Moving forward, the city plans to systematically promote policies centered on the committee and work toward creating an ecosystem for the cultural content industry.
First Vice Mayor Kim Hyun-soo stated, "The cultural content industry is a core industry that enhances urban competitiveness and drives regional economic revitalization," adding, "Centered on the Cultural Content Industry Promotion Committee, we will develop Suwon-style content industry and establish a foundation for sustainable growth."
