Kim Dong-yeon Visits High Oil Price Damage Relief Support Sites, Encourages Staff

Visiting the Gwanyang-dong Administrative Welfare Center in Anyang on the morning of that day, Governor Kim said, "Given that the government has created this program with difficulty through supplementary budgets amid various challenging economic conditions and war, I hope that everyone will do their best at the site even when it is difficult. The staff directly serving residents at the site must do well so that the purpose of providing this support can be fully realized. It seems well-prepared, and I am grateful. Let us ensure that the distribution of damage relief funds proceeds smoothly."

Meanwhile, the first round of applications for 'high oil price damage relief support' that began on the 27th targets basic livelihood security recipients, those in the tier just above that level, and single-parent families. The support amount is provided differentially and customized according to income level and residential region. Basic livelihood security recipients residing in the Seoul metropolitan area will receive 550,000 won, while those in the tier just above that level and single-parent families will receive 450,000 won. In particular, for residents of Gapyeong-gun and Yeoncheon-gun, which are designated depopulation areas, a regional preferential policy is applied, providing an additional 50,000 won to each, offering maximum benefits of 600,000 won.
