Suwon Special City Signs Cooperation Agreement with Private Communication Hub for "Our Neighborhood Soak" Project
[Suwon Ilbo=Reporter Jung Joon-sung] On the 15th, Suwon Special City signed a cooperation agreement with 6 private communication hubs including neighborhood cafes, craft studios, and cultural spaces at the City Hall Situation Room, and agreed to collaborate in operating the single-person household relationship-building support project "Our Neighborhood Soak."
The agreement ceremony was attended by Kim Eun-ju, Director of the City's Department of Women and Family, and representatives of private communication hubs, who shared the business operation direction and cooperation system, and discussed public-private collaboration methods for alleviating social isolation among single-person households and revitalizing community-based communication.
The city plans to move away from one-time, government-centered programs and create sustainable networks based on neighborhood spaces that citizens naturally visit in their daily lives.
The private hubs participating in the agreement are 6 venues: △Zai Di Di △Cafe Besty △Dreamers Social Cooperative △Long Player △Sewing Sketch △Rabbit General Store. Customized networking programs tailored to each space's characteristics will be operated.
According to the agreement, the city will support business operations and promotions, while private communication hubs will handle program planning and on-site operations to collaborate in creating intimate, daily-life-oriented networks where single-person households can communicate and interact comfortably.
Each hub plans to operate various programs including Indian black tea experiences, coffee and aroma-making, music production, writing groups, and craft-making, and support natural meetings and exchanges among participants.
Kim Eun-ju, Director of the Department of Women and Family, said, "The 'Our Neighborhood Soak' project is a new type of support program for single-person households created together by administration and local private spaces," and added, "We will actively support neighborhood spaces familiar to citizens to become comfortable communication hubs for single-person households."
