Suwon Special City Promotes '2026-2027 Suwon Visit Year' at Seoul International Tourism Fair

[Suwon Ilbo=Reporter Jung Jun-sung] Suwon Special City participated in the '41st Seoul International Tourism Fair' held at Seoul COEX from April 4-7, launching promotional efforts for Suwon tourism to domestic and international visitors.

The event, jointly hosted by the Seoul International Tourism Fair Organizing Committee and the International Tourism Forum Association and organized by Cote Parva Co., Ltd., brings together 423 organizations and businesses from 40 countries showcasing global tourism across a total of 518 booths.

Suwon City operates a tourism promotion booth during the event, focusing on promoting the '2026-2027 Suwon Visit Year' and the three major autumn festivals of Suwon Hwaseong, including the Suwon Hwaseong Culture Festival, the Joint Recreation of King Jeongjo's Royal Procession, and Suwon Hwaseong Media Art.

The booth screens promotional videos for Suwon tourism and festivals and distributes tourism guides and promotional materials. An event inviting visitors to follow the official social media accounts of the 'Suwon Visit Year' is also held.

An experience zone for the 'Extended Reality (XR) Bus 1795 Journey' utilizing extended reality technology is operated. Visitors boarding the bus can experience a special time travel to 1795 during King Jeongjo's royal procession to Eulmo, experiencing Suwon's historical and cultural tourism content.
