Hwaseong Special City Opens 'PBA Team League Round 2'... Nine Days of Billiards Battles Begin
Hwaseong Special City (Mayor Jeong Myeong-geun) held the opening ceremony of the 'Welcome Savings Bank PBA Team League Hwaseong Special City TOUR 2026-2027 Round 2' at the indoor gymnasium of Hwaseong Sports Town on the 12th, launching nine days of intense competition.
The opening ceremony was attended by Hwaseong Special City Mayor Jeong Myeong-geun, officials from the Professional Billiards Association (PBA), players and staff from each team, and other key guests, who together marked the start of the tournament.
In his welcoming address, Mayor Jeong welcomed the players and staff who came to Hwaseong Special City and wished for a successful tournament. He then took part in the ceremonial first shot, cheering on the players' good performance.
This tournament runs through the 20th at the indoor gymnasium of Hwaseong Sports Town. Ten top domestic and international professional billiards teams—Welcome Savings Bank Welcome Phoenix, Woori Financial Capital Woori WON Wibees, SY Builders, NH NongHyup Card NH Pay, Crown Haitai Raon, Hana Card Hana Pay, Harim Dragons, High1 Resort High1 Winners, Huons Healthcare Legend, and PBA Breakers—will compete in fierce battles for the Round 2 championship.
On the 20th, the final day of the tournament, a trophy presentation ceremony and the Most Valuable Player (MVP) award are scheduled to take place after the championship match concludes.
Major matches will be broadcast live through sports channels such as SBS Sports, ENA Sports, Billiards TV, and GOLF&PBA, as well as YouTube, allowing billiards fans who cannot make it to the venue to enjoy the vivid competition.
