Suwon City's Jangan-gu Launches 'Jangan Mentoring Festival' for New Public Officials

Jangan-gu of Suwon City held a ‘First Step Jangan, Mentoring Festival’ on the 12th to help new public officials naturally adapt to the organization and communicate comfortably.

On this day, new public officials and their senior colleagues participated as mentors and mentees, freely sharing concerns about life in public service and questions they had been curious about. They then toured the Ilwol Arboretum with a professional guide, experiencing Jangan-gu's landmarks and building rapport among colleagues.

One new public official who participated said, “The counseling session with my seniors was a great help, as it allowed me to clearly resolve the questions I had had,” adding, “It was even better to be able to step away from daily routine for a while, stroll through the arboretum, and recharge my mind.”

Kim In-bae, head of Jangan-gu Office, said, “I hope this mentoring will be a first step toward an enjoyable public service life for our new officials,” adding, “We will spare no effort in supporting new public officials so that they can stably adapt to the organization and continue to grow.”
