Haenggung-dong, Paldal-gu District, Suwon Provides Major Cleaning Support for Households with Mental Illness
Haenggung-dong, Paldal-gu District, Suwon (Dong Chief Choi Young-hee) conducted major cleaning on the 20th to improve the residential environment of households facing difficulties in managing their living spaces due to mental illness and physical challenges.
The target household had difficulties with daily life and organization due to mental illness, compounded by physical health problems that made it difficult to properly clean the home and dispose of garbage. In particular, residing on the third floor made it challenging to carry heavy trash down and dispose of it, causing the residential environment to deteriorate progressively.
In response, Haenggung-dong selected the household as a case management target and connected it with cleaning services to organize accumulated household waste and garbage, and clean the kitchen and living spaces, thereby helping to create a clean and safe residential environment.
Additionally, the office connected the target individual and family with the Adult Mental Health Center to support them in receiving counseling and mental health services. The office plans to continuously monitor conditions after the cleaning to ensure the residential environment remains stable.
Dong Chief Choi Young-hee stated, "Residents facing difficulties in daily life due to mental health and physical challenges need practical support tailored to their situations," and added, "Going forward, we will carefully observe households in need and actively connect them with necessary welfare services so that residents can live in safer and more comfortable environments."
