Get 5% Extra Cashback at Fair-Price Businesses Using Gyeonggi Regional Currency

Starting in September, customers can receive an additional 5% cashback on the payment amount when using Gyeonggi regional currency at fair-price businesses in Gyeonggi Province, in addition to existing recharge incentives.

Gyeonggi Province announced that it will implement the 'Additional Discount Support for Fair-Price Businesses' project from September 1 to December 31. However, the actual implementation date may vary depending on the regional currency operation schedule by municipality.

This project is one of the 'Special Support for Regional Love Gift Certificates in 2026' initiatives promoted by the Ministry of Interior and Safety to support small business owners facing difficulties from high inflation and high interest rates and to stabilize consumer prices.

Fair-price businesses are establishments designated and operated by municipalities based on a comprehensive evaluation of prices lower than surrounding business areas as well as hygiene and cleanliness. As of June 2026, there are 1,722 fair-price businesses that are regional currency member stores in the province.

Since the recharge incentive and additional cashback apply simultaneously, the actual discount is even greater. For example, if a customer makes a 100,000-won payment at a fair-price business in a municipality that provides a 10% recharge incentive, they receive 10,000 won in benefits already obtained at the recharge stage, plus an additional 5,000 won cashback (5% of the payment amount), resulting in up to 15% total benefits. Cashback is automatically provided after payment.

Customers can check eligible businesses on the Ministry of Interior and Safety's Fair-Price Business website (www.goodprice.go.kr) by selecting 'Gyeonggi Province' for region and 'Regional Currency' for facilities. Eligibility can also be confirmed through the fair-price business designation placard attached to the business entrance.
