Yongin Central Market Vitalization: 'Write Reviews, Get Discounts' Campaign Underway
Yongin Special City (Mayor Lee Sang-il) will launch a 'Full Course of Benefits at Central Market - Write Reviews and Get Discounts' campaign from September 1st, offering discounts and commemorative items to citizens visiting Yongin Central Market and its surrounding commercial areas.
This campaign marks the third year of the smart urban regeneration project 'Experience Digital at the Market' and was designed to revitalize traditional markets while helping citizens conveniently find market information.
The city will publicize information about participating stores in connection with Naver Place, and visitor reviews left by citizens will serve as valuable foundational data for future digital commerce activation of Yongin Central Market.
The campaign will run for two months from September through October. Approximately 80 participating stores (excluding gambling-related and entertainment businesses) within Yongin Central Market are eligible.
Citizens who make purchases of 20,000 won or more at participating stores and write a visit review on Naver Place can receive a 5,000 won discount coupon.
To encourage visits from younger generations and family groups, the city will also operate 'Pick and Go' content. Citizens can choose market visit courses tailored to their preferences, such as 'Value-for-Money Food Vlogger,' 'Retro Gourmet,' and 'Trendy Spot Conqueror,' to enjoy Yongin Central Market's hot spots.
In October, a 'Grab Goods' stamp tour will be held for visiting multiple stores together. Participants who take part in five or more store events and collect stickers can receive Central Market commemorative goods including film keychains featuring the market's landscape, retro glass cups, and retro shopping baskets.
A city official stated, "We hope this campaign with its various attractions including discount coupons and hidden hot spot discovery will become an opportunity for citizens to visit traditional markets more frequently," adding "This will be an opportunity for merchants to enhance their digital store promotion capabilities, and citizens' authentic reviews will help Central Market continue to develop."
