Remove Weeds Along Sidewalks

Jangan-gu Office in Suwon Special City announced on the 3rd that it is launching a large-scale maintenance project to remove weeds that have flourished around roads, sidewalks, and street trees ahead of Chuseok.

The maintenance project is being carried out to swiftly and efficiently remove weeds that have grown rapidly due to summer heavy rains and heat waves. Jangan-gu plans to concentrate dedicated personnel and equipment to prioritize maintenance of major roads and intersections with high citizen traffic, as well as school routes.

District Chief Kim In-bae stated, "Weeds growing between sidewalks and street trees not only detract from the city's appearance but can also become an obstacle to pedestrians, particularly vulnerable traffic users," and added, "Through continuous inspection and prompt maintenance, we will create a clean and safe pedestrian environment that citizens can experience."
