Ohyeon Elementary T-ball Team Dominates Gyeonggi Province Stage...Girls' Division Champions·Boys' Division Runners-Up [Our Neighborhood S]

Suwon Ohyeon Elementary School's T-ball team simultaneously secured the girls' division championship and boys' division runner-up finish at the '2026 Gyeonggi School Sports Club Festival' T-ball tournament.

At the tournament held over two days starting on the 5th at Hwaseong Dream Park, Ohyeon Elementary's girls' division won all games except the finals by shutout and advanced to the championship match. In the final, they defeated Okcheon Elementary 19-13, securing back-to-back championships.

The boys' division also advanced to the finals by winning all games except the semifinals and finals by shutout, finishing as runners-up. This is the best record in Ohyeon Elementary's boys' division T-ball history.

The teams are now preparing for the national championship.

Han Juwon (13), captain of the girls' division, said, "I will compete at the national T-ball championship for the second consecutive year. Since this is my last national championship in elementary school, I will definitely win the title this year."

Kim Minkyu (13), captain of the boys' division, said, "While the runner-up finish is regrettable, I am pleased to set the best record in our school's boys' division history. Now, I will run with our girls' division members heading to the nationals and cheer them on for their championship."

Choi Hyunyoung, principal of Ohyeon Elementary School, said, "The students' daily sweat and the values of cooperation and consideration they learned through sports have manifested in this outstanding result," and added, "We will spare no effort in providing full support for our students as they pursue their dream of becoming national champions."
