Ohyeon Elementary School T-ball Club Dominates Gyeonggi Province Stage... Girls' Division Champions & Boys' Division Runners-up [Our Town S]

Ohyeon Elementary School's T-ball Club in Suwon simultaneously achieved the championship in the girls' elementary division and runner-up finish in the boys' elementary division at the '2026 Gyeonggi School Sports Club Festival' T-ball Competition.

In the competition held for two days starting from the 5th at Hwaseong Dream Park, Ohyeon Elementary School's girls' division won all games with cold victories except for the finals. In the championship match, they defeated Okcheon Elementary 19-13 and secured their second consecutive championship.

The boys' elementary division also advanced to the finals by winning all games with cold victories except for the semifinals and finals, securing the runner-up position. This is the best-ever performance in Ohyeon Elementary School boys' elementary division t-ball history.

The team is now preparing for the national championship.

Captain of the girls' elementary division Han Ju-won (13) said, "I will step onto the national championship t-ball stage for the second consecutive year. Since this is my final national championship as an elementary school student, I am determined to win the championship this year."

Captain of the boys' elementary division Kim Min-gyu (13) said, "While it's disappointing to finish as runner-up, I'm happy to set a record-best performance for our school's boys' division. Now, I will run together with and cheer on the girls' division as they pursue their national championship victory."

Principal Choi Hyun-young of Ohyeon Elementary School said, "The students' sweat shed every day and the values of cooperation and consideration learned through sports have manifested in excellent results. We will spare no effort in providing active support for our students pursuing the dream of becoming the national champions."
