Suwon Metropolitan City Launches 'Top 100 Restaurants in Suwon' on YouTube with Mukbang Content

Suwon Metropolitan City (Mayor Lee Jae-jun) will release the first video introducing 'Top 100 Restaurants in Suwon' on its official YouTube channel on the 21st.

The first video features 'Roma Gyeongyang-sik' and 'Instant Kkanpoong Udon.' Cast members visit the establishments and taste signature menu items while introducing the characteristics of the food and the attractions and stories of the businesses.

The content is produced by Suwon City's Public Health Policy Division and the Video PR Team under the Public Relations and Planning Division. Among the 'Top 100 Restaurants in Suwon' selected establishments, the production team visits 1-2 establishments per episode that have expressed interest in filming, capturing their signature dishes, cooking processes, and the appeal and stories of the businesses in mukbang (eating broadcast) and interview formats.

The videos will be released sequentially on Suwon City's official YouTube channel. Suwon City plans to continue publicizing the 'Top 100 Restaurants in Suwon' through various media including YouTube, Touch Suwon, and restaurant map services, and to develop the content into food tourism resources that lead to actual visits by citizens and tourists.

'Top 100 Restaurants in Suwon' is a selection of representative restaurants in Suwon chosen to introduce the tastes and food culture of Suwon to citizens and tourists and to invigorate local dining businesses.

An official from Suwon City said, "We produced the video so that citizens can easily and enjoyably access the taste and appeal of the Top 100 Restaurants in Suwon," and added, "We hope that by watching the video, people can solve the dilemma of 'What should I eat today?' and experience the joy of discovering restaurants in Suwon."
