2nd Co-Growth Fair Held...Creating a Stage for Mutual Prosperity Between Large and Small-Medium Enterprises
Gyeonggi Province held the '2026 Gyeonggi Province Co-Growth Fair' jointly with the Co-Growth Committee at Suwon Convention Center on the 22nd, creating a venue for mutual cooperation between large and small-medium enterprises.
This year marks the second installment of the event, with the theme 'Growing Together, Connecting Prosperity in Gyeonggi.' The fair brought together 120 large, mid-sized enterprises, and public institutions, along with 262 small-medium businesses, operating various programs including △purchasing consultation meetings between large and small-medium enterprises △co-growth product planning (MD) review sessions △major enterprise store opening briefings △small-medium enterprise consultation services for addressing challenges.
In the purchasing consultation meeting, the core program of the event, a total of 732 customized 1:1 consultations were conducted, with zones divided into four sectors: machinery and heavy industry, construction and chemicals, distribution services, and electricity, electronics, and energy.
The newly established 'Co-Growth Product Planning (MD) Review Session' this year had Lotte Department Store participate as a cooperative partner, directly evaluating products from 20 outstanding small-medium enterprises in the province and reviewing product competitiveness and distribution suitability. For participating enterprises, online and offline sales channel support including Lotte Department Store pop-up stores will be connected, and excellent enterprises will receive additional sales channel support such as store openings in 'Dream Plaza,' the small-medium enterprise sales channel support specialist section within Lotte Department Store Yeongdeungpo Branch.
Additionally, product planners (MDs) from a total of 10 distribution companies, including Coupang and Hyundai Home Shopping, participated to examine the market viability and store opening possibilities of products from multiple angles and explore possibilities for expanding sales channels through future store openings and transaction negotiations.
Ju Hyung-chul, Vice Governor for Economy of Gyeonggi Province, stated in his opening remarks, "Gyeonggi Province is the center of co-growth cooperation between large and small-medium enterprises, with approximately 27% of the nation's small-medium businesses concentrated here," and added, "I hope this fair becomes an opportunity to contribute to practical market development for small-medium enterprises in the province and the creation of a sustainable transaction environment."
Meanwhile, the opening ceremony was attended by Vice Governor Ju Hyung-chul, Gyeonggi Province Council members Jang Tae-hwan, Choi Sang-kyu, Song Yeon-seop, Oh Hyun-jung, and Choi Hye-kyung from the Economic and Labor Committee, Byeon Tae-seop, Secretary General of the Large-Medium Enterprise, Small Business and Fisheries Cooperation Foundation, Yu Tae-il, Executive Director of Gyeonggi Economic Science and Innovation Promotion Agency, Lee Sung-hyun, Head of Communications Division at Lotte Department Store, and others, congratulating the successful hosting of the event.
