Seohae Sunset at a Glance...Seohae Cable Car Offers '1+3 Discount for Hwaseong Citizens'

Hwaseong Special City (Mayor Jung Myung-geun) announced that the Seohae marine cable car connecting Jungok Port and Jebu Island will hold a "1+3 Discount for Hwaseong Citizens" promotion from September 24 to October 11, coinciding with the Chuseok and Hangeul Day holidays.

This promotion expands the approximately 30% discount that previously applied only to Hwaseong citizens to include up to 3 companions. When one Hwaseong citizen visits with 3 family members or acquaintances from other regions, all 4 people can receive the discount, saving up to 28,000 won.

The Seohae cable car operates over a 2.12 km section at a maximum height of 60 meters and is Korea's longest marine cable car, offering views of the Seohae sea, Jebu Island's mudflats, and the reddening sunset all at once. As the only cable car that crosses over the sea in the Seoul metropolitan area, it has become a representative marine tourism destination in the region by allowing visitors to enjoy changing seascapes throughout the seasons.

The Seohae cable car is also working to promote experiential tourism by connecting with mudflat experiences and restaurant tours around Jebu Island. It is expanding communication with visitors through seasonal discount events and SNS-based promotional activities.

A Seohae cable car official stated, "We prepared this promotion to give family visitors coming to Hwaseong during Chuseok and autumn holidays special memories," and added, "We will continue to work toward revitalizing West Coast tourism and promoting the charms of Jebu Island."
