Kwak Sang-wook, Mayor of Osan, Announces 7 Key Initiatives for Second Half of Fifth Elected Term

Mayor Kwak Sang-wook of Osan has selected and announced seven key initiatives for the second half of his fifth elected term.

On the 25th, Mayor Kwak announced that he will pursue the substantialization and acceleration of innovative education, revitalization of Jungang Traditional Market, establishment of K-POP Studio and International Academy, and construction of a multi-functional interchange center at Osan Station as key initiatives for the second half of his fifth elected term.

Mayor Kwak added that he will concentrate administrative efforts on urban redevelopment, reconstruction, village development projects, restoration of Osan Stream, and attracting Seoul National University Hospital.

Mayor Kwak stated, "Over the remaining two years of my term, I will concentrate all administrative efforts on realizing the nation's best education city," and explained, "I will pursue village development projects in underdeveloped downtown and rural areas and adjustments to redevelopment and reconstruction projects from the perspective of citizens."

Mayor Kwak cited the following achievements from the first half of the fifth elected term: designation as an innovative education city, establishing exemplary childcare environment, building a beauty and cosmetics industry foundation (attracting Amorepacific and the Korean Cosmetic Industry Research Institute), and establishing beauty as Osan's representative brand.
