Gyeonggi Province to Conduct Comprehensive Audit of Ansan City Starting Tomorrow

Gyeonggi Province will conduct a comprehensive audit of Ansan City from the 21st through next month's 7th.

During this audit, the province plans to examine all administrative affairs including national and provincial policy projects, as well as civil complaints, welfare, environment, and urban development matters that directly impact residents' lives.

In particular, the province will actively present improvement measures for inefficient systems and practices that cause inconvenience to residents, and will intensively audit cases of unlawful, discretionary, and wasteful budget execution across all administrative procedures, residential damage caused by passive administration, and public official misconduct.

Gyeonggi Province will operate an open audit system during the comprehensive audit period, receiving reports on various improprieties and misconduct related to permits and licenses occurring in the residential environment and all matters affecting residents' livelihoods.

To prevent incorrect administrative actions and ensure desirable audit operations, the province plans to conduct surveys on the auditors' conduct and other aspects upon completion of the audit, and will use the results to improve audits that satisfy stakeholders.
