This inspection was conducted by a joint inspection team composed of personnel dispatched from the City Hall Safety Coordination Division and Traffic Division, Regional Economy Division, Osan Fire Station, Korea Electrical Safety Corporation, and Samcheonri. The inspection targeted a total of four facilities: Osan Temporary Terminal, a comprehensive passenger facility, and three large-scale retail facilities including E-mart, Lotte Mart, and Home Plus.
Key inspection items included safety management conditions of elevators and escalators, normal operation of gas shutoff devices and alarm systems, securing of evacuation routes and fire suppression passages, and conditions of firefighting facilities such as fire extinguishers and fire detectors.
The city requested facility management entities to promptly address all issues identified through the safety management inspection and plans to conduct on-site verification of implementation and continue regular safety inspections going forward.
A city official stated, "This safety management inspection of multi-use facilities was conducted targeting facilities expected to serve many returning visitors and citizens during the Lunar New Year holiday," and added, "In addition to this inspection, we will do our best to continue regular and ongoing safety inspections to prevent various safety accidents that may occur at multi-use facilities used by many citizens."
